DESCRIPTION: When SSB discovered a local farmer growing beautiful blood plums, they instantly got excited about the possibilities in incorporating them into their sauces. A few brainstorm sessions and trial batches later, the Spiced Blood Plum was born! Fruity, sweet, savoury, and spicy, this is one absolute killer sauce that we are absolutely stoked to release. With distinct Asian/Chinese characteristics, this sauce is a no brainer when you want to add an oriental twist to your next meal.

 

INGREDIENTS:  Fresh Australian Grown Blood Plum (50%), Cane Sugar, White Vinegar, Chilli (Habanero, Carolina Reaper, Scorpion, Thai), Onion, Fresh Locally Grown Russian Garlic, Fresh Young Ginger, Spices (Five Spice), Sea Salt.

FLAVOUR: Sweet, fruity and tangy, with a building creeping heat. Five spice compliments the fruity and tartness of the blood plums and adds a distinct Asian characteristic.

HEAT: Medium (5/10).

POUR: Thick and viscous.

PAIRING: Pork ribs, duck pancakes, spring rolls, pork banh mi rolls, chicken wings, wontons, egg rolls, spring rolls, dumplings. Also fantastic as a finishing sauce for roasted duck, chicken, shrimp, or pork.

SIZE: 150ml.
